About Rachel

Educator, musician, and the one holding the guitar

MA-CSE  ·  OISE, University of Toronto

Music is how babies learn

I started Rockin' with Rach because music is the easiest, happiest way I know to be with little ones. It's instinctive, it's joyful, and it brings a room together like nothing else.

I have a Masters in Child Study and Education from OISE, so every class is built around how kids actually develop — in their own time, at their own pace, through play and connection. Mostly, though, it's just fun.

Life with a little one is beautifully messy. My studio's a judgement-free zone where babies can be babies, caregivers can exhale, and we all share a bit of live music together — whether you're around the corner in North York or coming from across the GTA.

A bit of background

MA-CSE — OISE, U of T

A Masters in Child Study and Education from OISE at the University of Toronto, with a focus on early childhood development and music.

Child Development Background

Years spent on infant and toddler development, play-based learning, sensory play, and attachment — and it quietly shapes every class I run.

Live Music, Always

I'm a trained singer and guitar player, and I love using music this way. Every class is live guitar and singing — never a recorded track.
