Toddlers playing under a rainbow parachute at a Rockin' with Rach toddler music class in Toronto

Toddler Music Classes in Toronto

Parachute games, movement songs and a lot of noise · North York studio

What actually happens

Toddler music classes in Toronto, at my North York studio. Toddlers bring a different kind of energy than babies do — they want to move, grab, shout and be in the middle of everything — so these classes are built around that rather than against it. Parachute games, movement songs, instruments they get to actually play, and live guitar the whole way through.

🪂 The parachute

Reliably the loudest two minutes of the week. It goes up, it comes down, everybody shrieks. No toddler has ever been unmoved by it.

🥁 Instruments they play

Shakers, drums, bells — handed out and genuinely used. It's not tidy, and it isn't meant to be.

🏃 Movement songs

Songs built for stomping, jumping and spinning. Toddlers who need to move get to move, which tends to make everything else go better.

🎸 Still live, still guitar

Same as the baby classes: I play and sing the whole way through, and I follow the room's energy rather than a script.
